Grounding your spaceships:  writing science fiction that feels real.  One of the appeals of science fiction is the opportunity to explore space battle action, to work with concepts of front-line science, to explore the exotic corners of the universe and our planet – but we need to balance these novel elements with narrative development grounded in something that our readers will connect to.  This generative workshop will think about how to blend the science with the human elements, balancing plot and setting versus character and structure.
