Self-publishing is gaining acceptance and ground in the literary community, for writers looking to exert full control over their publishing journey. But it can be a confusing maze, with pitfalls and bad actors looking to take advantage of writers. In this workshop, Barbara G. Tucker will walk you through the self-publishing options available to you, and answer any questions you have about the process and experience.

After earning dual undergraduate degrees in Speech and in English Education, Barbara G. Tucker earned a master’s degree in Rhetoric and Public Address from Ohio University. For twelve years she taught communication and coached debate and individual speaking events, later earning a master’s degree in writing from UTC, where she studied with the legendary fiction writer Ken Smith. Tucker has been a department chair, assistant VP of Academics, and leader in faculty professional development and accreditation efforts. She has published no fewer than sixteen books, including novels and study guides, and is well-versed in the ins-and-outs of self-publishing. More here: https://www.barbaragrahamtucker.net/about
