Creative Arts Guild Gallery Opening + Artist Reception events typically take place on the first Friday of each month from 5:30-7:00pm (with a few exceptions). This is a great opportunity for the public to get the first look at our latest exhibits, meet and talk to the artists/curators, and enjoy refreshments. Gallery Openings are free, family-friendly, and open to all.
Come celebrate the bounty of our local artistic heritage at the Creative Arts Guild! This November and December we will be celebrating artists whose talents were born, honed, sweetened, and enriched while they dwelt in our area - many of them have been a part of the Guild's legacy over the years. We want to acknowledge the beauty, creativity, and passion that our homegrown artists pour into the communities they inhabit, be they near or far.
In our Gallery FIVE20 we will present a group show including Andy Alpin, Trish Andersen, Audrey Batts, Carol Blumenaus, Routh Cline, Monica Cook, Woody Cornwall, Marie Crosby, George Davies, Jerry Farnsworth, David George, Peggy Jonas, Candice Murray, John Quinn, Adam Sanford, Jennifer Whitehead Stanton, Bill Spence, George Spence, Julie Whitehead, and Ben Young.
In Gallery ONE11, we will have an exhibition of Will Harvey’s work. A local artist now living in Savannah, Will uses what he learned at SCAD to produce an astounding and vibrant body of work, both in animation and still mediums.
This exhibit will open on Friday, November 3 at 5:30pm with a Gallery Opening + Artist Reception, and will remain on display through December 15. We will have an additional Artist Reception on Friday, December 1 in conjunction with our Mistletoe Market. Our galleries are also open to the public with free admission during our normal operating ours: Mon-Thurs 10am-7pm, Fri 10am-4pm.
